The Maasai community have been asked to shun inter-clan politics as it undermines development.
Speaking Wednesday in Naisoya village of Nkareta Ward during campaign trail for his re-election, Narok North MP Hon. Moitalel Kenta told residents to embrace and preach unity and not to divide themselves along clan faults.
Hon. Kenta observed that clan politics is divisive and bad for development. He called upon those seeking elective positions to unite the Maasai community rather than divide them or non-partisan issues.
Kenta is campaign for re-election is a race that has attracted several seasonal political figures including land activist, Meitamei Olol-Dapash and lawyer-cum-politician Martin Kamwaro.
Others in the race are ex-legal secretary to the Kenyan Embassy at the Hague Symon Kaitikei Rotiken and political neophyte Nelson Keshei.
