Devolution promotes democratic and accountable exercise of power. This includes fostering national unity by reconginsed diversity, giving powers of self governance to the people and enhancing participation of the people in the exercise of the powers of the state and in making decisions affecting them, and recognizes the right of the communities to manage their own affairs and to further their development.
The above mentioned objectives of having the devolved system of government in Kenya is now in the take off stage and efforts should be put to make sure all county and national government functions stabilize and work for the people of the republic of Kenya.
Devolution should help us in Narok shape the development landscapes as we address concepts that for far too long lurked in Narok County.
